Hal Greer, Port Director

Hal was hired as port director in August 2009. He came aboard with 16 plus years experience as the Executive Director of the Hickman-Fulton County Port Authority located in Hickman, KY at mile marker 922 on the Mississippi River. He also served as Executive Vice President of The Building Industry Association of Okaloosa and Walton Counties, Inc. in Fort Walton Beach, FL from 2005 - 2009. Hal currently serves as President on the Tennessee River Valley Association, Shoals Area MPO Technical Coordinating Committee and Area Maritime Security Committee, and is also on the Board of Directors on the Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway Development.

​Adam B. Burchell, Port Attorney

Adam B. Burchell is a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County, Alabama and joined the Florence–Lauderdale Port Authority as its legal counsel in August of 2017.  Adam is a partner in the Lauderdale County, Alabama law firm Johnson, Paseur & Medley, LLC, focusing his practice on business law, general civil litigation and probate matters.  In addition to the practice of law, Adam has served on a number of local boards and committees including, but not limited to, the Shoals Homebuilders Association, Children’s Museum of the Shoals, Inc. and the Northwest Alabama Red Elephant Club.  Aside from his practice and civic duties, Adam enjoys spending time with his wife Ashley, and their two girls, Adley and Ellynn.

Gina Walker, Office Manager

Gina was hired as Office Manager in February 2012.   She brings with her over 15 years of experience in the transportation  industry through having her own trucking company since 1998.  Besides the management of the transport side of the business, she has also gained 10 years of experience in office management during that time.
