Port Memberships
The Florence-Lauderdale Port Authority is an active member of several organizations devoted to the growth and development of commerce and infastructure both along the waterways and within the region. Membership within these organizations helps to keep the port on the forefront of issues affecting waterborne commerce and regional economic development.

The Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway
The Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway is a connecting link between established water transportation routes that serve shippers and producers in the South and the Midwest as well as deep water ports along the eastern Gulf of Mexico. This unique feature has already benefited commercial interests in 18 states since it opened for business in 1985.

The Tennessee River Valley Association (TRVA) was organized in 1967 by public-spirited citizens of the Tennessee and Cumberland River Valleys region who felt the need for a non-partisan organization who could serve as a unified “voice” in promoting the region, its interests and resources. |
